Lucky 13, A New Year

Whoops, if my New Year's resolution was to blog more then I have already failed. And in my head, I had thought to myself that I would try to blog more this year. I also thought I would study Japanese (still haven't done) and get to yoga more (it took my three weeks into January to get to my first class). FAIL! Oh well, I blame Noah and motherhood.

Noah is almost seven months and is "worming" his way around. I say worming because that is what he looks like when he "crawls" around the house. He hasn't quite figured out the one arm in front of the other with the legs to follow. It's his method of getting around and it works. He sees things around the house and will go after it.

He is so smiley, giggly and happy. I love it. And of course, I think he's the cutest baby.

His first Christmas was good. Very busy, as the holidays are, but good. We had to take a break from opening presents after half an hour though because he was getting cranky and needed a nap, then continued after he was rested. My brother and his family was home, so it was fun to have the cousins meet again and enjoy each other's company.

With our upcoming trip to Japan in spring Noah will have the opportunity to meet his Japanese family and also see my brother and his family along with my mom, too. It will be a great first family trip for our little dual citizen (who just got both his passports!).

A note on his sleep, I really think Babywise has made a difference for Noah. He continues to nap well (even better since he can sleep on his tummy since he rolls all over the place) and sleeps through the night at six, almost seven, months. And I continue to hear these "horror" stories from parents of babies of varying ages whose babies still don't sleep through the night or take good naps. I wasn't sure if I was a believer, but now I think I am...
